"Illustrated by 50 examples of pictures from the time of the early Italian artists to the present day and 165 drawings by the author, supplemented by 300 diagrams in the text". DJ has black and white illustrations affixed to front cover and spine. Gilt lettering to spine. Fore-edges rough-cut. Minor rubbing to spine and corners and some marking to page edges. Former owner's name to front endpaper and note in ink to rear pastedown, otherwise good copy. Unclipped DJ has several small tears to edges, with a 1/2" and a 2" tear to top of spine. HEAVY BOOK, extra postage may be requested on orders outside the UK.
